Zac Gets Brave on the Tramp

We spent the night at my sister's house and that night Zac was out there on the trampoline and I could hear my sister laughing at him. She came to get me to see what my crazy kid was doing and he was indeed doing some pretty funny stuff.

He was flipping for the most part, but one was pretty good, we thought he'd crack his neck.....he got a running start (tramp is in ground), jumped once on the tramp, did a flip, accidentally went for a second flip but didn't quite make the entire flip, he landed on his hands and his body was still up in the air like a handstand, but we thought somehow he biff it after that, but he just collapsed and came running back to do it again, laughing all the way.

We need to get this kid in gymnastics! But here is a video of him the next morning when he woke up, he wanted to do some more flips, but they weren't nearly as exciting as the night before.

Big Bo-Bo on the Head

Zac was playing with a friend named Patrick. He was at our house one night because I was babysitting him. Patrick is only 5, but has the appearance of a Goliath. So of course, when these two get together, Zac thinks he is David and can overthrow him. NEVER does David win in this story.

Upon playing, Zac went flying back and hit his head on the sharpest corner in the house, a real piece of furniture that is actually wood.....so he got a big hole in the head. He cried a bit, but was more interested in seeing the pictures and blood. I had to show him the blood on floor, the blood on my hands and on his shirt. He wasn't crying, he was intrigued. So then comes out the camera. Snapped a shot, "Lemme see, lemme see!" crys out Zachary. On the other hand, this Patrick kid, was screaming, kicking, on the ground crawling around, crying about the blood and that Zac is hurt. I told him to knock that crap off and be a big boy. Every time Zac went near him, he would scream at him, "I don't want to see it, Zac!" and then he would shut himself behind a door. So much for Goliath, who plays those video games where he chops the opponent's head and arms off with a sword?? Go figure.

So I had to make a decision, was this cut deep enough to need stitches or a staple? Zac was all about going to the hospital, but I didn't want to waste time and money if it wasn't necessary. So I had some neighbors come over and take a look. Deboni said, "Maybe you should!" and Russ said, "Let it scab over!" Isaac agreed with Russ, even though Isaac was in Logan and couldn't see what was going on....what's up with Men? They could care less that you have a hole in your head? Let it scab up and be done with it? Gesh!

So I decided to bandage the thing, didn't want more blood in the house from him rubbing it off somehow on the sofa, etc. My nice neighbor Russ helped out! Haha....a little overboard, but had to keep that gauze on the wound and band-aids aren't going to work in your hair. LOOK! This was nearly 12 hours later! Healed up quite nicely. Good thing for the men-folk encouraging the "let it heal on its own" philosophy.
